Growing enquiring minds for life-long learning

What Ofsted Says...

Ofsted inspected our school on 13th and 14th February 2008.  This is what they said about us.

"This is a good school with a friendly and inclusive ethos.  It provides good education for pupils and prepares them well for the next stage of their education..."

"Pupils' personal development and well-being are good.  Pupils are keen and eager to learn, try hard to do well and say that they enjoy school.  They describe their teachers as 'nice' and say that their school is a happy place where they feel safe and secure and where everybody helps each other.  As one pupil put it, 'We all share.'"

"The quality of teaching and learning is good and ensures that all pupils, including those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and also those whose first language is not English, make good progress in all year groups."

"The curriculum is good.  It is broad and balanced and enhanced by a range of activities that further develop pupils' skills and their enjoyment of learning."

We are proud to announce that in January 2007 we were awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark which is a testament to the high quality of learning and teaching.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded Healthy School Status.
